dros introduction DROS pronounced as duh-roz MAIN CITY gurz'zak PLACE OF ORIGIN limblock
HISTORY OF THE DROS ·················· the dros were originally a solitary group residing in the forests and swamplands of limblock. for many hundreds of years they were protected under the watch of the god desino. but as outside races grew and the dros remained a small amount, they were slowly driven back further into the swamplands and eventually to the coldest caverns of the mountains surrounding the valley of limblock. a higher race and one that seemed to prey on their kind most often were the aeries, the winged people who thought themselves superior to the lowly likes of the spider people. with weak numbers and little negotiation skills, the dros fell back and disappeared into the underground. however, being forced underneath the earth proved to have its advantages. it took many years for the number of dros to become healthy again but the time that they kept hidden from the surface protected them. an advanced range of tunnels and cities were formed underneath the ground by the dros and eventually their leaders grew tired of the injustice their ancestors were shown by the sun-walkers. they began to move to the surface and create large webs around their caves and in the depths of some forests. these webs were used first for protection and then to capture their enemies. the dros are now prepared to fight back for their freedoms.

dros traits FEATURES AND APPEARANCE ·················· dros have no visible pupils and their eyes appear completely black in the light. in the darkness, however, they can glow a fierce red or violet when approached. ·················· like spider (and being the spider people), dros have the ability to create webs. but unlike your average spider, the dros can extract silk from beneath each of its dark fingernails and make a number of webs in a short amount of time. the web of a full grown and healthy dros can be tough as steel. ·················· another notable feature of the dros is their ability to produce venom from their teeth. now not all dros have a deadly bite. only those of a royal heritage in the dros ancestry can possess such venom. for your average dros, they can either have a bite that will cause infection, sleep, dizziness, bleeding, or momentary amnesia. ·················· the dros have light bones which gives them the ability to stand or climb fragile surfaces. on the downside, great amounts of pressure could easily break bones or simply crush them. ·················· some dros have markings or patterns on them that resemble spiders. these markings can be anywhere on their body and be a variety of colors. on the other hand, dros can be completely void of any markings. ·················· every dros is covered in fine, strong hairs that protect them from minor cuts and nicks.
